Eritreans numbering approximately 400-600 in the Greater Toronto Area met at the Ukrainian Cultural Center on Sunday May 11 2003 for a seminar conducted by the Eritrean Ambassador to the United States and Canada H.E. Girma Asmerom.

He pointed out the significance of the Warsai Yikalo project which has contributed in the building of airports (including Massawa International Airport), technical schools, hospitals and roads. After a lengthy in-depth explanation of the drought in Eritrea the Ambassador was asked several questions by the people.
